CONFESSIONS OF A KILLER. A 26-year-old construction worker on Thursday admitted to raping 2 of the 5 members of a family that he and his cohorts murdered inside a house in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

Suspect Carmelino Ibañez said he and his cohorts, aliases "Tony" and "Inggo", were under the influence of illegal drugs and alcohol when they killed Auring Carlos, her daughter Estrella and three grandchildren aged 1, 5 and 11.

"Wala lang po, parang trip-trip lang... Naisipan lang pasukin, ganoon. Hindi naman po sinadya namin na talagang -- kusa lang pong pinasok," Ibañez said in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN.

Ibañez said he raped both Auring and Estrella at the spur of the moment. "Parang naisipan lang," he said.

The suspect added that they did not intend to kill the children, who sometimes watched television in his sister's house.

"Hindi po namin alam na may bata doon, ano na po kasi sa droga... Iyung mga bata, nakaka-meet ko rin po iyun. Minsan po kasi, nanood iyun sa kabila, sa ano ng ate ko, bahay," he said.

The suspect said he cannot recall much about the crime except that they killed the 2 women before the children.

Ibañez earlier told radio DZMM that he, Tony and Inggo all took P150 worth of shabu during a drinking spree before the murders.

He said Tony is a financier while Inggo is a repairman.

Ibañez said he surrendered to authorities because he regrets the crime. He said he hopes that the victim's family can forgive him.

Authorities are still searching for Ibañez' cohorts.

San Jose del Monte Mayor Arthur Robes and Bulacan Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado have offered P200,000 in exchange for information that would lead to the suspects' arrest. With Doland Castro, ABS-CBN News
